The Public Affairs Council of the O'Fallon Illinois Stake of The Church of Jesus of Christ of Latter-day Saints and The Donald Peterson Foundation, in cooperation with co-sponsors, provided a forum in which we sought to inspire and encourage the youth of East St. Louis to envision possibilities of things that could be and gain a desire to achieve their dreams. 

     We did this by presenting examples, of feats accomplished, dreams realized, hopes raised and lives that have lifted another’s burden.   Many, native to East St Louis, have dreamed and lived to see those dreams become a reality.  From these several came shared their stories of struggle, encouragement, and success.

     We also presented resources already established that can provide ongoing mentoring, guidance with career counseling, funding for post secondary education and leads for employment opportunities.
